How do you determine the price of a flexible badge?

Flexible badges are custom-made to match your badge style, and pricing reflects the manufacturing steps required to produce them accurately and consistently. Several factors influence pricing, including minimum quantities, badge construction, and order size.

Minimum Order Quantities

Minimum quantities depend on whether this is a first-time order or a reorder and on the badge style.

Orders of 5–9 badges are available for re-orders only

For first-time flexible badge orders, a minimum order of 10 badges applies. 

Single-Stage vs. Two-Stage Flexible Badges

Flexible badges are produced using either a single-stage or two-stage construction method, depending on the badge design.

• Single-stage badges are made in one finish or color.

• Two-stage badges allow for two different finishes or colors (often called “two-tone”), such as a silver base with gold panels.

In addition to finish flexibility, two-stage flexible badges offer more of a 3D look, more closely mimicking the appearance of traditional applied-panel metal badges.  

Choosing single-stage vs. two-stage

• If all badges in your order are single-tone, you may choose either single-stage or two-stage construction.

• If any badges in your order require a two-tone finish, the entire order must be produced as two-stage.

From a manufacturing standpoint, two-stage badges are made by producing two separate pieces and permanently fusing them together. When an order includes any two-tone badges, all badges in that order are produced using this same two-stage process to ensure consistency and durability.

As a result, all badges in that order are priced at the two-stage rate, even if some badges are single-color.

Quantity Price Breaks

Flexible badge pricing includes quantity-based price breaks (e.g., 10–24, 25–49, and higher).  

Ranks, Badge Numbers, and Long-Term Cost

There is no additional charge for including assorted ranks on flexible badges.  Individual numbering will incur an up-charge of $5.00 per badge.
